About Emily Woglom
Emily Woglom serves as an Executive Vice President for conservation policy and programs at Ocean Conservancy, where she oversees the intersection of science, policy and citizen engagement across multiple programs at Ocean Conservancy. Emily always wanted to work at the intersection of people and science. After having taught physics and math for several years, she wanted to take a more active role in shaping policy. Her work now focuses on engaging people and science through advocacy.
While working in the federal government, at Nature Conservancy, and now Ocean Conservancy, Emily has been inspired by the positive change that a small group of dedicated people can bring about to help the ocean, especially when this small group mobilizes a larger and more diverse coalition of stakeholders who benefit in different ways from protecting and conserving Earth’s greatest global commons – the ocean.
